Özet (EN)

In this study, it will be examined whether there is social engineering or engineering through Turkish television series and other digital platforms and this qualification will be carried out on the axis of individualism and comminitarianism theories. With this review, the social and cultural effects of this situation will be tried to be explained. It is aimed to emphasize the importance of these effects in terms of social order, social welfare and societal security, to observe how social consciousness is affected by Tv series and digital contents and to try to express the solutions to the problems related to the subject. This study covers Individualism, Comminitarianism and the ideas created by these theories, how television and digital platform series represent popular culture movements, the role of television in the impact of globalization on social order, and why cultural values should be carefully preserved. Qualitative research methods such as observation and examination of primary sources and publications have been used in this study. According to the findings, the theories of Individualism and Comminitarianism are often misinterpreted and the individuals who make up the society consider cultural values from different perspectives. East-West cultural and civilization conflicts continue and the East positions itself behind the West in every sense. The economic, technological and political superiority of the West turns Eastern societies into "Western Wannabe" and therefore cultural change takes place not as "what should be" but as "what is believed should be".
