Abstract (EN)

These days the difficulties with social security system in our country become one of the most important events which all individuals are interested in. Because persons are anxious about their future. Therefore, they try to find several different ways to decrease their anxiety. Individual Retirement System has been one of the ways which has been started to be applied in our country recently.Since the retirement pension, which will be provided from social security system, is insufficient; throughout this purpose private pension system carried out in our country since October,2003. Individual Retirement System is an issue whether it will arouse the interest of the consumers in our country or not.The purpose of this work is, to reveal how individual retirement system is perceived by consumers. What the problems are during the marketing of private pension and the factors why consumers prefer individual retirement product has been evaluated in that search and after the interviews that are done face to face; a questionnaire has been applied to reveal the consumers? point of view about individual retirement system.The effect of the preference consumers? individual retirement product on purchasing, the main problem is having disadvantages of the investment for life insurance in the past. There are a lot of problems like not getting over the trust worthy as a result of incorrect politics in marketing. When examining the factors that effect consumers? purchasing, it is obvious that the influence of the close environment is significant.Key Words: Individual Retirement, Retirement Companies, Social Security, Consumers?
