Abstract (EN)

Comparison of Reactive Agility and Planned Change of Direction Skills in Individual, Team and Racquet Sports Reactive agility consists of perceptual cognitive and decision-making skills, including motor features. The aim of this study was to compare reactive agility and direction change skills in individual, team and racquet sports Participants of the study; A total of eighty male athletes who live in Afyonkarahisar, whose licenses have been issued regularly for at least three years, who do not currently have any injuries, and who are active in sports between the ages of 18-25. According to amateur sports branches, of these sportsmen were interested in football,(n:17) in basketball,(n: 9) in karate,(n: 7) in table tennis,(n: 9) in taekwondo, (n:14) in wrestling and (n:7) in tennis, total eighty (age:18.35±0.92 years, height:173.06±0.08 cm, weight:70.66±8.09 kg). As the URA test was being applied in order to determine the reactive agility of the participants, measurements were noted pre-running the some protocol with URA test in order to determine planned direction-change skills. In URA test, motion detective sensors were placed one into the middle and four on the corners, and there were LED lights on the sensors. The distance between the sensors was 3 m t. When the sensor was active, one of the other sensors on the sides became active while the participant was crossing his hands over the sensor. Participating athletes quickly turn to the activated sensor and cross their hands over it. Then the sensor located at the middle point was activated again. The test ended when all the sensors on the edge were activated once. Reactive agility and planned change of direction skill values were measured and analyzed separately for each participant athlete using the URA test by the Fitspeed ( Sporsis, Turkey ) multi-reaction system. The athlete did not know which sensor to activate in this test. In the planned -change of direction test, this time the athletes known which sensor to turn to. With the start, the test ended with their hands crossing over the four sensors respectively. The have normal distribution (Reactive agility: p<200, PYD: P<0,081 ). Independent t test was used to compare PDC and RA valves of the sportsmen within the branch. ANOVA test was used to compare the results of both tests between groups. Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between the tests. At the end of the study, the reactive agility values of the football players were shorter than karate, tennis, wrestling (respectively 12.46±1.48 vs. 14.29±1.75, 13.90±1.18, 14.14±1.31 sec, p<0.05).In addition, it has been determined that the reactivite agility valves of basketball players are sharter than karate, taekwondo and wrestling athletes (respectively 12,93±1,08 sn,14,29±1,75 sn,15,27±1,58sn, 14,14±1,31sn ) too. There was no significant difference between the ability of planned change of direction. In addition, it was determined that there was a positive low-medium and significant relationship between the planned change of direction and reactive skills of the athletes (r=.432, p<.05). As a result of the research, it can be said that reactive agility is an effective factor in team sports such as football and basketball compared to other branches. As a result, it is recommended to include more reactive agility exercises to improve agility in football training programs.
