Abstract (EN)

Innovativeness, when individuals' attitudes towards innovations or these approaches are evaluated personally during the process of absorbing innovation; Individuals' perspectives on innovation are important in terms of providing a healthy and balanced adaptation process to the changes they encounter in their social, cultural values and the environments in which they carry out their global life activities. Individual innovation is expressed as absorbing an innovation, developing it or putting it into action in harmony. In the process of preparing students for their professional activities, to determine the causes of the problems they will encounter in their profession, to improve their ability to make quick and practical decisions and to solve problems, as well as to reduce their professional and personal mistakes to the minimum level, to increase the prestige of the police profession, to lay the groundwork for the formation of innovative and investigative aspects at a more efficient and advanced level. For this purpose, the evaluation of individual innovativeness levels before the profession was made. In the study, although 416 students studying at Samsun 19 Mayıs Police Vocational School constitute the main mass, it was calculated that the sample number would be at least 200 students at the 95 % confidence interval. 375 students participated in the study with random sampling method and 41 students did not want to participate in the study due to various excuses. In the research process, the information obtained from the individual innovativeness scale questionnaire and personal information form, which is a quantitative research method, was used. By means of this information, the data were analyzed using a statistical package program, stored in a digital environment and analyzed based on dependent variables. Looking at the analyzes; In individual innovativeness, it is statistically examined according to the age of the students, the education level of the family (parents), the income status of the family, whether there is a civil servant in the family, whether there is an entrepreneur in the family, the type of high school graduated, whether the students have received entrepreneurship education or not, whether they have participated in vocational innovation training or not, it has been determined that there are differences and the Individual Innovation Levels of the students are at the 'Interrogator' level.
