Abstract (EN)

Arabic linguistic sciences have two main divisions: a division that deals with examining every single word, which is known as "Morphology/Sarf" and another division that deals with examining sentences, which is known as"Syntax\Nahiv". In this thesis, we analyzed many important works relating to these two divisions and we also examined the works that we written by Birgivî Mehmed Efendi (Died 981/1573) in relation to Morphology and the works that were written for the purpose of facilitating Arabic Grammar for non-Arab speakers. We aimed in this thesis to value the works that were written by Birgivî related to morphology and to present this work known as "Kifâyetü'l-mübtedî" after analyzing and editing it to the readers who are interested in this field. In order to achieve this goal, we divided this thesis into an introduction, three main chapters, conclusion and the edited text. In the introduction, we explained the purpose and content of this thesis. In the first chapter, we mentioned and discussed the life of the author Birgivî and his written works. In the second chapter, we analyzed the text known as Kifâyetü'l-mübtedî from different perspectives and we referred to the method that we used in our editing. In the third chapter, we tried to gather, analyze and clarify the written works that were written by Birgivî related to morphology from different morphologic resources. In the conclusion, we organized the results and our suggestions into articles. As for the chapter related to the edition of the text, we used the critical edition method resulting in a composed, formed and edited text accordingly. We mentioned in this chapter the comments written by Birgivî, which were not mentioned in previous editions and versions of this text. We used the symbol "minhu" in the footnote, in order to refer to these comments. Keywords: Birgivî/Birgili, Kifâyetü'l-mübtedî, el-Emsiletü'l-Fazliyye, İm'ânü'l-enzâr, Kuşadalı Ahmed Efendi.
