The effectiveness of special education service, to be provided in a mixed- capability educational environment for a student under the effect of mentall defiiciency in accordance with her capabilities,in order to realize the educational targets

The general aim of this research, is to search thoroughly if the tuition programs implemented by the class teacher and are originally prepared with special education service in accordance with the academic capabilities of the student having mentally deficiencies and is situated in a mixed- capability educational environment, is effective for realizing the academic educational aims or not.The pattern of research is intra-behaviors multi attendance model pattern that is one of the single subject experimental patterns.The experimental subject of the research is an 11 year old girl who has been a student in the fifth class of Çubuk Primary School in 2009-2010 educational year.In order to collect the research data, teacher?s screening and interview forms, the control check lists of ; knowledge of life, social studies, Turkish and Mathematics and in order to define the level of student in terms of her knowledge with regard to Atatürk?s life, and with regard to her knowledge in terms of ?circle? and in terms of her capability to use punctuation marks, related documentation were obtained and related lesson plans, and activities were prepared in view of the student?s capabilities on ?punctuation marks?, ?Life of Atatürk? and measuring instruments.The data obtained in the research were analyzed with graphical analysis methods.The findings of the research are as follows:It is observed that, the implementation by the class teacher of an educational program which was prepared with special educational service in accordance with the student?s capabilities in social studies, Turkish Language and Mathematics; for a student who has mental deficiency and is situated in a mixed capability educational environment, paves the way for the student to realize the educational aims formerly defined in social studies, Turkish Language and Mathematics.It is found out that, the implementation of an educational program by the class teacher for a mentally deficient student who is situated in a mixed -capability educational environment which is prepared with special education service in accordance with the capabilities of the student in terms of social studies Turkish Language and Mathematics, is effective for the student to realize the defined aims.The tuition implemented in accordance with the capabilities of the student in Turkish Language, Mathematics and Social Sciences, prepared with special educational service paved the way for the student to maintain the reached results for fifteen days.The class teacher who contributed to this research enounced positive view about the implementation of the educational plan, prepared with special educational service prepared in view of the capabilities of the student.In light of the findings in this research, recommendations are provided with regard to educational programs prepared with special educational service in accordance with the capabilities of the students and also recommendations for the future scientific investigations in this regard are provided.Key words: Mixed-capability educational environment, Special Educational Service, The Tuition Plan Prepared in Accordance with the capabilities of the students.
