Abstract (EN)

The Pauson-Khand cycloaddition reaction is one of the important methods for the construction of cyclopentenone. Two fused tricyclic compounds that are 4a-hydroxy-4a,5,6,7,8,8a,9,9a-octahydro-1H-cyclopenta[b]naphthalen-2(4H)-one 48 and 8a-hydroxy-4a,5,6,7,8,8a,9,9a-octahydro-1H-cyclopenta[b]naphthalen-2(4H)-one 52 were synthesized by using the intramolecular Pauson Khand cycloaddition reaction. Fused tricyclic compounds including cyclopentenone ring that is building blocks in the synthesis of biologically active molecules. The resultant fused tricyclic compounds are 48 and 52 were oxidized to give 4a-hydroxy-2-oxo-2,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a,9,9a-decahydro-1H-cyclopenta[b]naphthalen-1-yl acetate 49 and 8a-hydroxy-2-oxo-2,4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a,9,9a-decahydro-1H-cyclopenta[b]naphthalen-1-yl acetate 53 by using Mn(OAc)3 in good chemical yield. For this purpose, 1-cyclohexenylpyrrolidine was chosen as starting compound was synthesized according to the literature procedure.
