Abstract (EN)

It was carried out to determine the petrographical, geochemical and geochronological properties of the magmatic and metamagmatic rocks surface between Biwong Boulou and Mvangan districts in Southern Cameroon in this study. The study area covers an area of approximately 150 square kilometers around Biwong Boulou and Mwangan District. In the region, gabro, amphibolite, diorite, sharnokite and granite composition rocks located. Granitic rocks commonly represented by plagioclase, orthoclase, and quartz, and to a lesser extent biotide, epidote and chloride. Gabros are mainly plagioclase, clinopyroxene, chlorite and orthoclase. Diorites consist of quartz, K-feldspar, plagioclus, biotite and quartz. Charnochitic rocks consist of potassium feldspar, biotite, plagioclase, and epidotes. Amphibolites consist of plagioclase, amphiboles, biotites, epidote and opaque minerals. When the geochemical analyzes made in the rocks in the study area are evaluated in the AFM diagram, granite and charnochites are included in the calc-alkaline gabbro and amphibolites are included in the toleyitic series. Rocks are basic rocks (amphibolite and gabro) according to the K2O-SiO2 diagram and all charnochites are included in the medium K and Low-K chalcalkalene series, while granites are included in both the high K calcalalene series and the shoshonitic series. In the region, charnochites have a metaulmina character and granites have a peraluminous character. They are enriched with large ion radius lithophile elements (LILE) and light rare earth elements (LREE) and depleted by high persistence elements (HFSE). According to the LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon aging, the BM007 specimen in the region is 2971 million years old, indicating that xenoliths crystallized during the Archean period.
