Abstract (EN)
The increase in the amount of energy required for the production of goods and services in order to meet the demands of the rapidly growing world population has led to the look for new energy sources, and engineering solutions have been developed for the efficient use of new energy sources. While wastes regularly stored in areas determined by local governments to contribute to city waste management, on the other hand, best practices are provided from the product obtained from waste through various energy conversion centers. In this study, the energy, exergy and exergy-economic analysis of the system designed to recover waste heat energy with the domestic waste biomass energy conversion power plant located in the Sapça district of the Central district of Zonguldak province was examined with the help of ESS (Engineering Eqation Solver) program. The maximum flame temperature in the gas engine is 1980 K, the dew point is 331.15 K and the monetary value of the lost flue gas energy is calculated as $268,343.00. The amount of energy produced in the system was calculated as 1706 kW and showed an increase in the thermal efficiency by calculating the thermal energy as 56%. In the designed system, the maximum exergy dissipation was realized in the evaporator with 952.7 kW, exergy efficiency in the pump with 89.78%, exergy cost in the turbine with 5.287 $/h, exergy dissipation cost in the turbine with 3.8030 $/h and the period of redemption in the system was found to be 3.1 years. The aim of this study is to understand the basic concepts of biomass power plants and their components, to contribute to the literature by calculating the energy, exergy and exergy-economy values realized during the cycle.
