The Effect of Different Teaching Methods on Student's Success in the Biology Lesson (Master Thesis) MehmetcAKÇAY Gazi University Institute of Science And Technology November: 199G ABSTRACT The basis of this research is the effect of different methods on the student in terms of education and teaching, which are used by teachers in the biology lessons, the confirmation of the statistical meaningfulness of the differences found by the comparisons of the data oblained from the results of the practices carried out. As data gathering technique experimental method has been used in this study. Data gathered is limited by the points of 213 student who were coineidentally chosen. In the analysis of the data, "the variance analysis" and "the t test" has been used. ît was understood that there was no meaningful difference between "the simple narrating method" and "the ask and answer method" practised in the experinent but there was a meaningful difference between both "the simple narreting and the ask and answer methods" and "the experimental method. " III
