Abstract (EN)
In this PhD thesis, the extraction of Co(II), Bi(III), and Y(III) metal ions was investigated using the Multiple Droplet Liquid Membrane (MDLM) system, which is a sub-method of liquid membrane separation technologies. Synthetic solutions of the mentioned metals were used in the studies, and experimental work was conducted using D2EHPA as the carrier agent. The mechanisms of metal ion transfer from the donor phase to the membrane phase and from the membrane phase to the receiving phase were examined, and the results were evaluated. Different carrier agent concentrations, chemical structures of the donor and receiving phases, and system temperature values were employed as system parameter variables in the studies. Concentration change graphs were generated using the obtained data, and kinetic parameters were calculated and summarized. Additionally, the effect of the presence of metal ions such as Mo(VI), Ni(II), Fe(III), and Mn(II) in the donor phase on the transport mechanism was investigated and reported. Arrhenius plots were created using the experimental data conducted at different temperatures for each of the three metals, and activation energies were calculated.
