DEVELOPING A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR CONVERTING OF 2DPICTURES WITH BMP FORMAT TO DWG FORMAT(M.Sc. Thesis)Ümit AKBAŞGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTUTE OF SICENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2006ABSTRACTIn this study, a computer program has been developed for converting oftechnical drawing with Bitmap format to DWG vectorial data format inAutoCAD using VB and VBA (Visual Basic Application) programming method. The picture files with Bitmap extension saved in the computer are scanned, coordinate points are determined and saved in text format. First of all, thepicture with Bitmap file extension to be converted to CAD data format is saved24 bit and 800x600 pixels as black and white. The Bitmap picture is scannedpixel by pixel horizontally and vertically and the x, y coordinates of the objectson the picture are determined. AutoCAD is run by the program developed andthe coordinat values are converted to DWG format using ActiveX commandsand saved in a file. In this work Visual Badic 6.0 and Visaul Basic Applicationprogramming language were used.: 708.3.028Science CodeKey Words : Bitmap, Picture Processing, DWG, Vectorial data format,Convert of Picture, AutoCADPage Number : 118Adviser : Prof. Dr. Mahmut GÜLES N
