This definitive study aimed to identify life quality after kidney transplantation. Between January 2015 and April 2015 among patients who applied to Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Health Application and Research Hospital, Nephrology Transplantation Clinic for Follow up after Kidney transplantation, 46 patients accepted to participate in this study. Data are collected by using Patient Information Form and SF-36 Quality of Life Scale. In the statistically evaluation of the data, t-test in dependent groups, Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis, percentage ratio are used. Relationship between Sociodemographic and medical-kidney transplantation characteristics and SF-36 Quality of Life are investigated. There are significant relationships between BMI, sex, having a child, education status, rejection, dialysis status and SF-36 Quality of Life dimension. More than half of patients are compliant to follow up visits, diet restriction, recommended exercise, avoiding particular situations, aware of protection against infections, watching their vital signs and laboratory finding and know its meanings, consult their drugs to consultant doctors. Men, ages of 41-75, married patients, living donor transplant, rejected, 3-5 number of drug users, posttransplantation duration more than 4 year patients are more incompatible to drug usage. SF-36 Quality of Life Scale lower dimension with sociodemographic and medical-kidney transplantation characteristics should be investigated and they need more social support and rehabilitation services.
