Organized industrial zones for eliminating the inter-regional imbalance and Elaziğ sample

Aim of this study is to examine the inter-regional imbalance event and the existing condition of Organized Industrial Zones in Turkey which are one of the methods used for eliminating the inter-regional imbalance. Applications of Organized Industrial Zones are put into practice first in 1962 in Bursa in Turkey. Organized Industrial Zones are adopted as an instrument for eliminating the inter-regional imbalance, arrangement of regional development and solving the problems resulting from irregular and disorderly urbanization. Organized Industrial Zones are of a center position for development of inter- industry relations and training the qualified personnel. The Minister of Industry and Trade has an important role in the establishment, controlling, granting credit of industry zones and playing along with various institutions. Organized Industrial Zones with complemented infrastructure and service plants have made an important contribution from the point of regular and planned industrialization. In this study Organized Industrial Zone of Elazığ is examined as a sample.
