India's political and economical cooperation with Sub-saharan Africa on the way to become a regional and balancing power

Sub-Saharan African countries are among the least developed countries in the world. These countries, which could not complete their development and industrialization, are becoming more and more the center of attention with the potential and rich resources they have. One of the countries that has made important economic and commercial initiatives in Sub-Saharan Africa, especially in the recent period, has been India. India, which has a rapidly developing economy, is taking important steps towards becoming a regional power and a global actor. In this context, it establishes economic, commercial, political and cultural relations with almost all sub-Saharan African countries thanks to its long-standing ties as well as its foreign and economic policies. India has become one of the most important actors within the region. The PRC is India's most important rival. Of course, western countries are also included in this competition. However, India's activity in the region comes to the fore due to the fact Africa and India has a common past and understanding against the western colonialism, even today the western colonial view of Africa seems to continue. Unlike western countries, India acts not as a donor country but as a development partner in Sub-Saharan Africa. Turkey, since the late 1990s has made radical changes in policy towards the African continent. With this new approach, it makes serious attempts to develop political, economic and commercial relations with Sub-Saharan African countries. Turkey's humanitarian assistance in especially health, infrastructure, education, and social life has been attracting quite a lot attention. In this respect, Turkey and India's approaches to Sub-Saharan Africa show similarities. Turkey's efforts and works in order to build a higher level of trade and economic relations with Africa are continuing. In this context, cooperation with India, which has a wide and deep activity in Sub-Saharan Africa, will be very beneficial for all parties.
