The buprestids and the elaterids (Coleoptera) of the Bolkar mountains

In this study, 21 770 specimens collected from the Bolkar Mountains placed in the provinces İçel (Tarsus, Çamlıyayla, Erdemli, Silifke, Mut), Adana (Pozantı), Niğde (Ulukışla), Karaman (Merkez ve Ayrancı), Konya (Ereğli, Halkapınar) between the years 2005-2007 from April to August were evaluated. The collected specimens were diagnosed considering the morphological features, besides the genital structures were used in the diagnosis of some species. As a result, 11 subfamilies, 24 genus, 112 species and subspecies belonging to the family Buprestidae were determined. Among these, the species Scintillatrix dives is the new record for Turkey. 6 genus and 36 species belonging to the family Buprestidae are new records for the studied area. 5 subfamilies, 18 genus and 37 species belonging to the family Elateridae were determined. Among these, 4 genus and 11 species are new records for the studied area. The locality data, collecting methods, distribution in the world and Turkey, photos and distribution maps in studying area of determined totally 149 species and subspecies belonging to 42 genus were presented.Key Words: Buprestidae, Elateridae, Coleoptera, Bolkar Mountains
