Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Intensive Care Units (ICU) have great importance within the health system since they provide vital support to all critical patients. These units, which support patients 24/7, are the places where multidisciplinary approaches are used extensively as well as the advanced technological infrastructures. The aim of this study is to examine the patients in the ICU and to evaluate patient transfers. Within the scope of the study, 260 patient forms of 04.06.2019-31.10.2019 were determined and examined. First, the general characteristics of the patients were examined and then the transfers were evaluated. The results revealed that there is no relation between age-gender and hospitalization-the duration of death. A significant relationship was determined between the research, death and hospitalization time. Also, the APACHE-II score has been found to be related with both death and length of stay. The additional disease and APACHE-II score were among the factors impacting the hospitalization duration. The services which transferred the patient has the biggest impact on the patient's mortality. As a result of rational use of ICU, only three patients were transferred within this time frame.and APACHE-II score were among the factors impacting the hospitalization duration. Key Words: Intensive Care, Intensive Care Units, Health System
