Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, the energy efficiency of an industrial facility operating in the Organized Industrial Zone of Bolu province and producing construction materials has been analyzed in detail. The research aims to identify feasible strategies to reduce the facility's energy consumption and to measure their impact on energy savings and carbon emissions. Within the scope of the study, various improvement opportunities were evaluated, including solar energy production, analysis of compressed air leaks, intake air analysis of compressor systems, waste heat recovery, pressure setpoint analysis, vacuum systems, insulation applications, cooling systems, electrical systems, and lighting systems. Measurements were carried out on-site with the assistance of experts, and the PVsyst software was used to analyze the solar energy potential. Based on the collected data, energy efficiency gains were calculated, and both economic and environmental benefits were assessed accordingly. The findings revealed that implementing energy-saving measures can significantly reduce both energy consumption and operating costs of the facility. Furthermore, the study demonstrated that energy efficiency practices contribute positively to sustainability and the reduction of carbon emissions. The results obtained from this thesis are expected to serve as a guiding reference for similar future studies.
