Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Master Thesis People- Belifes that existed in the Province of Bolu and it's the Geography of Beliefs For Tuday Önder BİLGİN The University Of Fırat Social Sciences Institute Main Science Branch Of Philosophy and Religion Sciences 2000, Page: 150 This paper that have called "People-Belifes that existed in the Province of Bolu and it's the Geography of Beliefs for Today" consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the Introduction of it, it is given briefly information about the Province's geographical structure, educational stuation, the root of it's name and administrative history. At the first chapter, it's evaluated the birth, marriage, death, turbeh and the place of pilgrimage and the people-bliefs that applied to the other stage of life, by the way of direcly observation and inspecting of the writen sources. In the Second Chapter of Paper, it is generally spoken of the religions and then mentioned the tariqats and religious communities existed in the Province and consequently explained their number and activites. At the same chapter too, its tired to determine the distribution the people lived in the Province (Bolu) to the religions and sects, according to the informations being derived from the Yearbooks (Salname), the Travel-books (Seyahatname) and the archive-documents. And finally, by the study of field, it's came out of the geography of the Province for today. As a result, it's determined that they (the people in the Province) yet have lived with our cultural assets before Islam, making it transformed to a Islamic shape. Morower, althought there are the cizitens of different sects, it's thought the all people in the Province almost are Muslim.
