The research was designed to determine awareness of hypertension and home care applications of older people with hypertension.108 older with hypertension who registered Bolu Governoship Elderly Center comprise the examples of the research. It was evaluated (percentage, key-square, OneWay ANOVA).%66.7 of older people are women (n:72), majoring of them (%56.5) are between 65/74 age group, approximately ¾of them (%62.0) are married, half of them are primary school graduate (%49.1).Older people periods of hypertension between 6-10 years (%25), mostly they felt symptoms (%38.0) and they were diagnosed hypertension, more than half of them feel symptoms (%63.0), approximately ¼ of them (%22.2) feel symptoms two or three times in a month, approximately all of them did?nt go to hospital (%95.4) and emergency (%91.7) in last 6 months, approximately half of them have first-degree relative with hypertension, approximately all of them have got another chronical disease (%85.2) and in addition to this it has been determined that they have got osteoporosis (%23.9).
