Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted at application fields of İnönü University Faculty of Agriculture in 2016. In this study, the effects of agricultural Boron (%20 B) fertilizer on yield and plant characteristics of radish and celery plants grown on field conditions were examined. The experiment was conducted according to random block design in three replicates with three dosages of Boron; 0.5 kg da-1, 1 kg da-1 and 1.5 kg da-1 and control. Texture, pH, lime, organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potasium and boron contents of soil samples taken from the trial analyzed before the experiment. According to the results of the soil, the experimental field was found clayey loam textured, slightly saltly, middle alkaline, limy and had low organic matter and boron content, enough nitrogen content and high phosphorus and potasium content. Nutrient contents of leaf and tuber samples taken after harvest were analyzed and the effects of boron applications on nutrient contents were investigated In terms of yield components; tuber weight, tuber width, tuber height and in terms of plant characteristics; plant height, stem diameter, number of plants, fresh biomass weight were evaluated. According to the results of the study it was observed that B dosages of 1.5 kg da-1 and 1 kg da-1 significantly increased yield of radish and celery, respectively.
