Abstract (EN)

Liver fibrosis is a disease that kills more than 2 million people worldwide each year. The primary cause of liver fibrosis is chronic damage and inflammation in the liver caused by excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix. Liver fibrosis occurs as a result of these dysfunctions. Mesenchymal stem cells are undifferentiated cells that have the ability to differentiate into the required cell type when needed. In addition to their differentiation, they also possess self-renewal and immunomodulatory properties. Mesenchymal stem cells can be obtained from various sources, including bone marrow, adipocytes, dental pulp, and umbilical cord blood. This study will utilize adipocyte-derived mesenchymal stem cells. Studies have demonstrated the healing effect of mesenchymal stem cells on liver fibrosis by differentiating into hepatocytes in the liver. Boron is a commercially important mineral. Based on these studies, the effects of treating mesenchymal stem cells with sodium pentaborate-pentahydrate, curcumin, and piperine on liver fibrosis were investigated. Curcumin is the main hydrophobic polyphenol of the turmeric plant. Piperine is a major alkaloid isolated from black and long peppers. Curcumin is known to improve poor bioavailability by reducing its metabolic degradation rate. Based on these studies, the NaB+Cur+Pip trio was applied to adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells to investigate its effect on CCl4-induced rat liver fibrosis. Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) reduced liver fibrosis. NaB-Cur-Pip-ADMSCs reduced liver fibrosis to the same extent as ADMSCs.
