Abstract (EN)

In automotive brake lining, instead of asbestos that was prohibited because of negative effects on human health, non-asbestos organic brake lining research and development works were accelerated. In recent twenty years in consequence of fast development in automotive technology, vehicles that have more speed and acceleration capability were produced. Therefore, friction composites used in automotive brake gained popularity in material technology. In this study, in production of disc brake lining without asbestos and fiber addition material, boron minerals, boron derivatives (boric acid, borax, ulexite, kolemanit) and powder of cedar pine cone were used. In order to determine effects of brake lining performance carried out different manufacture parameter. Thus, the crucial parameters in brake lining performance were searched. In order to determine optima ratio of boron minerals in component, different brake lining composition was created. In order to define friction coefficient-time friction surface temperature changing of produced brake lining, experimental studies were carried out and graphics were carried out with obtained values. The wear, hardness, density values and resistance in different liquids of samples were measured and were taken SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) photos. The obtained scientific data and indication brought a new approach that supplied physical, chemical and mechanic feature wanted from brake lining, for friction materials.
