Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the mechanical and physical properties of boron added polymer composites were investigated. Polyester resin was used as the matrix material, and boron minerals such as colemanite, ulexite and tincal in 100 μm size were used as reinforcement elements. Colemanite, ulexite and tincal minerals in different amounts by weight (0-5-10-15-20 gr) were mixed with polyester resin and poured into molds and were removed from the mold after 1 day at room temperature. Afterwards, physical and mechanical tests were performed on the samples and the results were examined.
