Abstract (EN)

This study was aimed that removal of boron from boron containing wastewater by adsorption that used klinoptilolite, perlite and bentonite as natural material.Klinoptilolite, perlite and bentonite as adsorbent were used in batch experiments.According to the experimental results klinoptilolite and perlite were ineffective for removal of boron. In batch experiments all factors that affected adsorpsiton process such as adsorbent doses, pH, mixing time, initial boron concentration and solution heat were investigated.According to the experimental results best conditions for boron adsorption by bentonite were determined. In experimental studies performed at 293 K, 5gr bentonite/250 ml solution adsorbent doses, pH 7,90, 50 mg/lt H3BO3 concentrastions and 60 minutes mixing time were reached %73 as a best yield.Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were applied to experimental results and then determined that which isotherm model was suitable for the experimental results.Freundlich isotherm model was more suitable than Langmuir isotherm models for the boron adsorption. Freundlich isotherm correlation coefficient at 293 K (20 0C) was 0,95 and at 313 K (40 0C) was 0,97.
