Abstract (EN)

Our country is having an important place in the world in terms of boron reserves and to produce and sell this valuable resource with effective production methods. Eti Mine Operations The washed product, which has 0-3 mm grain size and 32-36% B2O3 grade ratio is kept on the stockyard because it is low grade and it is not soldable grade from concentrates obtained from Emet Concentrator Facility. This part, which is about 5% of the production is an important low-grade concentrate with a quantity of 70.000-80.000 tons / year. At the same time about 500.000 tons of accumulated low-grade concentrate produced up to now is kept waiting with continuous production. In the study, it was aimed to increase the grade value of colemanite, which is called as low grade in the 3-0 mm size range, which can not be sold as a concentrate, and to increase the salable grade. The first work carried out within the scope of colemanite enrichment is clay exploitation and dispersal studies. After reaching the optimum conditions, the Shaking Table operation, Multi Gravite Seperator (MGS) operation and then Falcon Gravite Concentrator were operated. The most favorable result was achieved with approximately 27 % B2O3 grade material with a grain size of -1 mm at MGS, 260 dv / min drum speed, 4 l / min wash water volume, 4 dv / sn frequency and 20 mm amplitude. At the end of the study, 97,51% yield and 44,93% B2O3 grade concentrate were obtained.
