Özet (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the war at the beginning of 1990s in Bosnia and Herzegovina from a cause and effect perspective and to look into the implementations conducted by Turkish Republic with respect to her foreign policy and Turkish Armed Forces Peace Support Operations.First part of the study includes an inquiry of ?Bosnian Identity? and the land called Bosnia and Herzegovina in the historical process. In this part the author studies the reasons that are believed to have led to the division of Yugoslavia from 1941 to 1991, the progression of war and the Dayton Peace Treaty. This part also represents the relationships between Turkish Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina, other countries and the international organizations during and after wartime in the second part of the study.Last part is devoted to the description of a Peace Support Operation, the legal foundation of Turkish Armed Forces` missions abroad, the process of sending Turkish Troops to Bosnia and Herzegovina and their contributions. The reached conclusion is presented in the last part of the study.
