Determination of the transportation capability ofof Bozkurt Forest Directorate to the castanea stands

The aim of this study is to determine the spread of castanea forests in the Bozkurt Forest Directorate and to identify the possibilities of access by forest road network. In addition, it is aimed to determine the extent to which castanea forests can be utilized and the difficulties raised faced the villagers who have benefited from these forests as none-wood revenue generating possibilities. Also, this study aims to identify the causes and solution suggestions if there are difficulties in transportation to forests. Face-to-face survey method was used. Thus, the accessability of the villagers to the forests was put forward. With this study; the existing forest road efficiency of Bozkurt Forest directorate frequency of their use by the villagers and the benefits of the villagers were revealed.
