Özet (EN)

Objective:The Dysregulation of adipokines is closely associated with the pathogenesis of insulin resistance and impaired glucose toleranse. Here we examine the relation of İnflamatory markers, Procalsitonin, MCP-1 and Retinol Binding Protein4 with insulin resistance in obese and nonobese human subjects with impaired glucose Tolerance TestMethod:Blood was drawn from 26 obese, 25 nonobese patients and compared with 24 kontrol matched for body mass index and age patients. The levels of glucose, insulin, C peptid, Homa index, hsCRP, Procalsitonin, MCP-1, Retinol Binding protein4, IL-6, TNF-? was measured from all subjects whom an oral glucose toleranse test was performed.Differences between groups were tested by ANOVA?s test for continuous variables (Benferroni and Dunnet T3 methods). The relation between variables were tested using Pearson?s test.in SPSS software.Method: Serum Glucose, insulin, C peptid and HOMA levels were significantly different among nonobese and control groups (p=0.001,p=0.001,p=0.004, p=0.001, p=0.001 .respectively) Serum Glucose, insulin, C peptid and HOMA levels were significantly different among obese and control groups. (p=0.001,p=0.001, p=0.002, p=0.001, p=0.001 respectively) Serum hs CRP consentrations were significantly different among the obese and the nonobese group and among the obese and the control group (p=0.014, p<0.009) hsCRP levels were positively correlated with HOMAindex in the nonobese group(r=0,595, p=0,002). whereas MCP1 and waist to hip ratio were positively correlated in the nonobes group. (r=0,484, p=0,012)Serum RBP4 levels were negatively correlated with the fasting serum glucose levels (r= -0,424, p=0,039) and were positively correlated with the HOMA index (r=0,455, p=0,026)in the control group..hs CRP levels and the HOMA index were also positively correlated in the control group only. Conclusions: Our results suggest that insulin resistance increase with increased hs CRP levels.in the nonobese and the control group. RBP4 on the other hand is unliklely to be a marker of insulin resistance..
