Abstract (EN)

The Comparison of Postoperative Kidney Functions of Bretschenider HTK Cardioplegia and Conventional Crystalloid Cardioplegia on Congenital Cardiac Surgery. This study aims to investigate the hypothesis " Is the use of Bretschneider HTK cardioplegia solution has any difference on postoperative kidney functions compared with conventional crystalloid cardioplegia on congenital heart diseases" The study population was 60 patients operated in Başkent University Department of Cardio-vascular Surgery for congenital heart diseases. The former 30 patients received Bretschneider HTK solution while the latter 30 patients received conventional crystalloid cardioplegia solu-tion. The kidney functions and laboratory values of the patients were taken as the clinical var-iables. All labaratory parameters were designed for KDIGO kidney function test. The staistical analysis revealed no significant difference between the HTK group and Con-ventional Crystalloid group regarding laboratory values, kidney functions, postoperative complications, mortality and morbidity.
