Abstract (EN)

In this study the modified Multi walled carbon nanotube-Glassy Carbon Electrode (MWCNT/GCE) were prepared with brilliant cresyl blue (BCB) redox mediator, which is one of phenoxazine dyes, using electropolymerization procedure and the studies on electrocatalytic oxidation of sulphide were performed by using these modified electrodes. The parameters such as pH of supporting electrolyte, monomer concentration, cycle number and potential window during the preparation of modified electrode were optimized according to its best response toward sulphide. As a result, 0.03 mM BCB monomer concentration, 0.1 M phosphoric acid solution containing 0.1 M sodium nitrate, a potential range from -700 to +1200 mV, 100 mV/s scan rate and 8 cycle number were found as optimum conditions for electropolymerization. The effect of scan rate, pH of supporting electrolyte on the modified electrodes were investigated with cyclic voltammetry.
