Abstract (EN)

The magazine Broy, published between the years 1985 and 1990, sustained its publication life up to its 60th issue. Maintaining a consistent socialist perspective from its inaugural issue onward, Broy systematically articulated its poetic vision with the publication of the Yenibütün Manifesto in its 27th issue. This manifesto, consisting of eight articles, offers critical evaluations regarding the formal and thematic aspects of poetry. This study, which aims to examine Broy magazine with a particular focus on the Yenibütün Manifesto, is composed of four main sections. The first section provides a historical context for the magazine and its poetic stance by discussing the political, social, cultural, and literary atmosphere of the post-1980 period. The second section evaluates the formal and thematic features of Broy, as well as its place within the scope of Turkish literature. The third section offers an overview of the Yenibütün Manifesto, published in eight articles in the magazine's 27th issue. The fourth and analytical section of the study presents detailed interpretations of each article in the manifesto, alongside close readings of selected poems that exemplify the manifesto's principles. The appendix includes visual materials related to the magazine and the manifesto, as well as selected poems that represent the Yenibütün poetic approach.
