Effect of organic chormium on abdomen and liver fad of broiller chicks

Nazım ULUOCAKThe aim of this research was to investigate the effect 0f supplemental organicchromium on growth performance , abdominal fat , liver weight , feed consumption ,body weight gain , feed conversion efficiency and mortality.60-Cobb male broiler chicks were used throughut 45 days of experimentation.Three standart diets were fed to broilers , Starter ; 23 % protein and 3100 kcal/kg ME, Grower ; 22 % protein and 3100 kcal/kg me and Finisher ; 20 %protein and 3100kcal/kg me. A dose of organic chromium of 0 , 2 , 4 and 8 mg/kg diet wereemplayed.Significant effect (P < 0.05 ) of organic chromium supplementation onincreased feed consumption was fount at first week of the experiment However ,there was no effect ( P > 0.05 ) of organic chromium supplementation on feedconsumption during the next five weeks of experimentationOrganic chromium supplementation increased body weight gain at fifthweeks of the experiment ( P < 0.05 ) , hovever , no effect was found at other weeksof the experimentNo statistical effect (P> 0.05 ) of organic chromium on other parameters wasfaund during the study.Key Words: Broiler chick, organic chromium, abdominal fat weight, performanceand liver
