Özet (EN)

In this study, the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) methods were applied independently to overcome the challenges faced in motorcycle type selection and to determine the most ideal motorcycle type for users. The results obtained from both methods were then compared. Based on the opinions of motorcycle users and sellers, a literature review was conducted, and filtering options on motorcycle sales websites were observed. As a result, six motorcycle types (Chopper, Touring, Enduro, Naked, Scooter, and Supersport), along with four main criteria (Engine Block, Design, Performance, and Cost) and nine sub-criteria (Engine Volume, Engine Power, Comfort, Appearance, Load Capacity, Speed, Safety, Price, and Operating Cost), were identified. These criteria and alternatives were evaluated using triangular fuzzy numbers, and the motorcycle types were ranked. In the FAHP method, the weights of the criteria were determined through pairwise comparisons, and the effect of each criterion on motorcycle type selection was identified. In the FTOPSIS method, the distances of each alternative to the positive and negative ideal solutions were calculated, and based on these distances, the motorcycle types were ranked according to the established criteria. The results of the study aim to guide consumers who wish to purchase motorcycles and firms operating in the motorcycle market, demonstrating the effectiveness of multi-criteria decision-making methods in the motorcycle type selection process.
