Abstract (EN)

Direct current motors are controlled easily and have very high performance. The speed of the motors could be adjusted within a wide range. Thus, DC motors are extensively used in industry for sensitive speed and position control applications. Traditionaly, classic technical conventional propertional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers have been rather widespread use to your area an owner in speed control. However, can not fit a foot whose technical methods have developed technological. Can use this reason because she becomes at the systems which only technical classic linear becomes nonlinear exhibit bad performance at the systems. About this cause; in the nonlinear systems, the control has developed so that can be done at an effective shape your systems are modern has been applied technical. In these thesis, low cost yet effective fuzzy controller was designed for speed control of a DC motor. Firstly; a fuzzy logic controller system was modelled in MATLAB/simulink environment. Then taking the results of the simulation into account; a closed loop system and necessary units were designed. The system consists of a DC motor, DC power supply, converter and three phase AC power supply. After making this system work with two technical methods PI and FUZZY LOGIC, we compered result so as to reach our main torget. Nonlinear fuzzy logic parameters were tried to adjusted manually and effects on system of these changes were examined. So as to determine performance, expriments were made. When we look at result of similation and comparisons it can be seen clearly that FUZZY LOGIC is superior than PI controller.Key Words : DC motor speed control, fuzzy logic
