Abstract (EN)
This master's thesis consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, a literature survey on Burgers equation is presented. In the second chapter, finite difference methods that are going to be used in the thesis are introduced. In the third chapter, five model problems are given considering the equation with different initial and boundary conditions. In the fourth chapter, numerical solutions of model problems linearized with Rubin-Graves type linearization technique are obtained using explicit, implicit and Crank-Nicolson finite difference methods and the obtained solutions are shown with the help of tables and graphs. In the fifth section, the numerical results obtained in the fourth section are evaluated.
