Özet (EN)

In this study, the seasonal radiactivity of radon gas in Bursa?s spring waters has been measured. As a countless, scentless, tasteless element radon, which placed at noble gases with 86 atomic number, occurs as a result of radioactive decay of uranium in soil, water and rock. Beacuse some of the radioactive decay products are alpha emitting, the biological importance of alpha radioactivity becomes more of issue. Researches carried out recently has swown that, lung cancer risk caused by inhalation of radon is getting higher and higher. As it is known that radon activity in spring waters has a significant effect on human health, the importance of this study becomes more clear. In the present work Radon concentration values obtained from 0.62 Bq/L and 50.96 Bq/L.
