Özet (EN)
With the rapid growth of cities, urban planting has also gained importance. Usually in urban planting, the ecological functions of the plants are not evaluated, the selection is made according to their aesthetic characteristics. The use of fruit plant species that can provide food especially for birds in the parks contributes positively to the wildlife population of the city. Woody fruit plant species in Bursa's three big city parks, Reşat Oyal Kültürpark, Soğanlı Botanical Park and Hüdavendigar City Park, which were evaluated within the scope of this study, were determined. There are 32 woody fruit plant species in Reşat Oyal Culture Park, 35 in Soğanlı Botanical Park, and 17 in Hüdavendigar City Park. It has been determined that the plants have mature fruit within a year. It was found that the parks have woody fruit plant species with how many kinds of mature fruits in which weeks of the year. Soğanlı Botanical Park is the park with the highest woody-fruity plant species diversity with an average of 9.6 mature fruit plant species per week. Reşat Oyal Culture Park comes in second with a weekly average of 7.9. Hüdavendigar City Park has a weekly average of 4.8 plant species and the least woody fruit plant species diversity. The presence of fruit plant species in parks is important for providing food to urban wildlife, especially birds. Studies should be initiated to use natural plant species suitable for the local habitat in urban planting.
