Assesment of climate change mitigation studies of Bursa Osmangazi municipality

In this study, in order to adapt to climate change, the results of the environmental projects carried out by the Osmangazi Municipality of Bursa are presented.. Firstly, the carbon footprint and carbon footprint values of the central service building of the municipality were calculated. Account result is 2.537,03 tons of CO2 carbon emissions between 2014-2017 in total. While carbon footprint value is 1,60 tons of CO2/person-year in 2014, it increased to 1,73 tons of CO2/person-year by 2017. After 4 years, the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere tons in terms of CO2 was found to increase by 8,12%. The 1,000,000 Sapling Planting Campaign conducted between 2009 and 2014 aimed to keep the amount of carbon released into the atmosphere. It was calculated that the amount of carbon destruction of the planted saplings for 1 year was "7.275 tons CO2". According to this; 2,9 times the amount of carbon emission from the central service building during the 4-year period between 2014-2017, is kept in only 1 year thanks to the planted saplings. Secondly, the process of obtaining the secure-green building certificate of Bursa Panorama 1326 Fatah Museum, which is the first green building belonging to the public institution in Bursa, is explained. Seasonal uses are taken into consideration by taking into consideration the process in which the museum is opened for service and the annual gains are presented. As a result of calculations made considering the benefits of each technology; yearly energy gain from natural gas used for heating is 130.602,28 m3 and energy gain for electricity used for cooling is 344.473,46 kW. Thanks to the projects that include detailed explanations and calculations; The carbon emissions from the Bursa atmosphere, benefits to Bursa atmosphere and the benefits obtained from the protection of energy resources have been demonstrated in a concrete manner.
