Murad Emri Efendi from Bursa and his Divan

Focused on Murat Emri Efendi?s as a Tahmis Poet are emphasized under the Literary Personality. Then under the Business Life of the Poet; 1. Pressing Identity and Matbaa-i Emri, 2. Librarian, Book Identity and Kütüphane-i Emri, 3. Journalist Identity; Fevâ?id, Bursa ve Sanayi gazettes are focused on.In the second Part, assesment of Murat Emri Divan has done; A. Form Features has analyzed. Analyzing Divan in terms of Form, number of each nazım form, rhyme and redif have presented with the ratio of meter used in divan, and displayed by statistical charts. A detailed study has been done and language and literary style have presented. Issues like 1. Sufism-Religion, 2. Love, 3. Beloved, 4.Aşık, 5. Contestant, 6. Şarap, 7. Under the Social Life; a. Historical-Legendary People, b.Personal Complaints and Desires, c.Gönül, d. Cities, e. Vatan-Gurbet, f.Life, and 8. Murat Emri Efend?s Relationship with other Bursa?s poets are focused in terms of Divan Muhtevası. Second part has completed by analyzing Divan?s nonconventional qualifications and changes. There are 918 manzume consisting of different nazım forms in Divan-ı Murad Emri. These are 474 gazel, 139 tahmis, 89 muhammes, 47 müfret, 18 muhammes kıt?a, 6 mersiye, 2 münacat written in thre form of kaside, 1 terkib-i bent, 1 terci-i bent, 1 murabba, 2 tarih, 1 mezar poems written in the forms of mesnevi.In conclusion part, achieved results in thesis have summarized. All the literary works done via current alphabet related with Murat Emri have tried to present by bibliography. Before Divan Text, the method followed for composing text and the abbreviation used in the text have been given together. Our study has ended with a general index.Advisor: Prf.
