Abstract (EN)
Fiber optic lighting systems are quite secure than other lighting systems and have flexibility for realizing many different designs. This situation makes fiber optics an alternative for other lighting systems.Fiber optic lighting systems usage is increasing day-by-day in our life. In this Master's thesis, these systems are examined, and also loss, productivity and usage of the system are exposed by the experiments. In the experimental work, the optical properties of PMMA and PS(crystal) with a high polymers are used. Extruded samples of four different temperatures produced in three sizes and three different light intensities were compared with a production speed. As a result of the study, it is understood that the compenet which is produced from PMM gives better result than the compenent which is produced from PS. The best value of PMMA components for light intensities has been occured as 220oC 2.2. rpm for our samples which produced at different temperatures and light intensities with 3 different drive speed. It has been determined that the light intensity for the sample compenents which has holes increases 10% as avarage more than the sample compenent which has no holes. The best light intensity has been reached for PS Samples at 205oC and 2.4 rpm conditions. It has been determined that the light intensity for components which has holes increases around %17 as avarage.
