Abstract (EN)

With the use of CAD/CAM systems, it is aimed to reduce time spent at the patient's durationand to improve the aesthetic and mechanical properties of therestorations. The aim of this study is the clinically evaluation of temporary restorations produced with CAD/CAM (Computer Aided.Design/Computer.Aided Manufacture) in terms of color change and tooth sensitivity. It is planned to prepare a total of 45 temporary restorations, n=15, from 3 different temporary crown materials (Protemp, Telio CAD and Vita CAD). A 3-month color change was observed using the CIEDE2000 color formulation. Tooth sensitivity was assessed using the visual analog scale (VAS). The conformity of the measurements to the normal distribution was examined with the Shapiro Wilk test and it was determined that these values did not show normal distribution (p<0.05). While Friedman test was used to measure within-group variables; Kruskal-Wallis test was used in the evaluation between groups. A statistically significant difference was found between the ΔE values of the three materials examined in the study (p<0.05). The lowest ΔE value (2.71 ± 2.23) was found in the Vita CAD group between immediately after the procedure and 2 weeks. The Protemp group experience a noticeable color change in the clinic. Tooth sensitivity after the procedure was observed more in the Vita CAD group than in the other groups. However, with time, tooth sensitivity was not observed in all three groups. In conclusion; In the temporary restoration materials examined in the study, clinically noticeable color changes were observed over time, but sensitivity was not observed. Color stability is clinically important for long-term temporary use. Keywords: CAD/CAM, Temporary Restoration, Color change, Tooth sensitivity
