Abstract (EN)

First of all in this thesis, the term of consumption has been discussed and some formations that determine the role of the term in human life have been passed over. It is aimed to understand the factors that support consumption and then to find aspects of art and contemporary printmaking, which is an important discipline in art, that conflict or compromise with consumption. In this sense, the views of important people in the history of art such as artists,art critics, philosophers were included and a direction has been drawn to act on this views. In this period which our lives have shifted towards digital with today's tecnological development, the increasing production speed of Contemporary Printing with digital printing method and consumption accordingly have been handled, and to locate of the term of 'Uniqueness', which has an important place in art, in contemporary printmaking, at the same time it is aimed to provide the effects of consumption on this term. As a result of all the research, the situation has shown us that the reproducibility of art creates a pollution in some cases, differs when it comes to contemporary printmaking. It is thought that it is the type of production that creates this difference. It wouldn't be wrong to say that consumption is the reality of our life and art is a formation that is at the center of this reality. The pollution that exists in every situation reveals its beauty when we separate it and therefore it thought that it will continue to offer us people its beauty and guide it as always when art is also seperated.
