Abstract (EN)
Acknowledging the actor's presence on stage as both a creative part of the theatrical experience and a dynamic component of a play which enlivens and empowers the expression of the actor, leads to the question whether it can be maintained and developed. This dissertation examines the tools that can be used to enrich the presence of the actor first via a theoretical analysis of the concept of presence, and then an investigation of the ways contemporary acting and actor training studies approach it, and proposes a workshop designed to improve the actor's presence on stage. Finally, how the workshop content and exercises designed contribute to the state of presence is questioned and evaluated in accordance with the participants' statements on their experience.
