Abstract (EN)

Art, it known that human beings, as the best way of expressing themselves, ocur through different understandings and concepts in their historical development. Accordingly, from the beginning of art history, people used lines, symbols and shapes before writing as a means of communication. These patterns made on cave walls and surfaces remained as a preliminary sketch, drawing and preparatory stage of painting by artists in the process until the second half of the modern period. The pattern began to develop as a result of the artistst' desire to Express their feelings and thoughts while conveying their observations along with their search for personal style. Because of this, deformations started to appear as a result of the artist's emotional perception of the objects and images that exist in natüre and reshaping them. Pattern has been handled as a means of expression with the artists' search for a style, the existence of social events that have developed over time, the development of technology and the inclusion of unlimited materials in today's art. In this thesis titled "Pattern and Deformation in Contemporary Painting", from the first formation of the pattern to today's painting art, the artists'search for new styles and creation are discussed in terms of different disciplines. In this direction, the effect of creative individuals on the "deformation" creation process and the depiction of drawn forms and deformation constitute the essence of this thesis. Based on examined through sample designs. It is known that creative individuals use different materials to maket he expression stronger with the possibilities brought by contemporary art. In this direction, the artists' drawing of forms without aesthetic concerns has increased their use in deformation, and ideas and concepts have been kept in the foreground in the works. In contemporary art, design and deformation in design have been investigated by considering the currents through some of the artist' drawing.
