Abstract (EN)

It is common knowledge that works of art cannot be appraised independently of the social realities of the age and are influenced by the circumstances of the time. However, in order to comprehend the world the artist describes in his work or the message he wishes to convey, a certain level of education and experience is required. This circumstance restricted art to an elite class and widened the distance between artists and the general populace. This issue has prompted artists to seek different methods. The activities that lead to the use of writing as an artistic expressive language in contemporary art, which reflects ahistoricality, have led to the development of an entirely new reading strategy. Artists that utilize writing as a tool in an analytical model that requires the audience's perception have profited from writing in order to receive the work of various subjects and provide a hint as to the desired direction. In this study, the semiotics method was applied to the examination of the researcher's writing and identity-themed images in public spaces. With the study, an overview of the theoretical dimension of the temporal history of writing and its place in art practices was provided, as well as a set of determinations regarding the components of writing on the works of contemporary artists.
