Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to illustrate that between the years 1990-2007, the subjects represented in Contemporary Hollywood Cinema indicate non-homogeneous qualities, based on different theoretical approaches. In this work, through 17 films selected from Hollywood Cinema between the years 1990-2007, the subject has been categorized under the titles of ?The Subject in Oedipal Film Narratives?, ?The Subject Within the Symbolic System?, ?Ideological Subject?, ?The Subject of Power?, and ?Escape from Subjectivity?, and it has been analysed through the conceptual framework which consists of the subjectivity hypotheses of Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan, Louis Althusser, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari. At the end of the analysis, it has been observed that the subjects in Contemporary Hollywood Cinema carry different attributes both in terms of their formation processes and the subject positions as well as the objects of information they adopt.Key Words:1.Subject2.Contemporary Cinema
