Abstract (EN)

Abstract: In the thesis called The Design Use of Kastamonu Tasbaskı Motifs in Contemporary Turkish Painting Art, It is emphasized the importance of acquisitions that can be provided to Turkish culture and art by being transferred to future generations. It is aimed to gain new perspectives and open a different door into national culture and intercultural relations on the basis of academic approaches in the terms of values that can be reached in the process. This research covers the use of Kastamonu Tasbaskı motifs in traditional and design work. Contemporary Turkish Painting Art and cultural transfers can be gained a different perspective by being supported in academic suggestions and studies. So functional results can be reached. The hypothesis of the research is determined by the cultural elements and practices that the artist assimilates by living and tranfers into his/her inferences to his/her work. In addition to foreign and Turkish artists, contemporary Turkish artists who differ from others because they include 'motifs based on cultural beliefs' are also discussed. Artists are limited by their works which have survived to the relevant period and the present. As visual design, painting and press art areas are included but the other art areas are not included. Also the indirect inferences are mentioned when necessary. The subject within the scope of the thesis was evaluated by the method of literature review and document review. During the research and application process, Tasbaskı motifs in the products of the workshop were brought together with the art of painting and a new approach by being used different materials. Also the research was supported by the design studies and the thesis was completed like that.
