Abstract (EN)
In the world and Turkey, a lot of research has been done about employee health and safety, and legislation has been prepared. When the data about occupational accidents and occupational diseases are analyzed: loss of life, permanent disability, and material and moral losses indicate the importance of the issue in terms of society. Today, the development and change of production technologies has led to the emergence of different health and safety related problems in health workers. All health workers are exposed to biological, chemical, physical, environmental and psychosocial risks in health institutions. It is important for health professionals to work in an institution where they feel safe and peaceful in order to provide better quality, high quality and high performance services. Employee health and safety units aim to improve the health of workers and prevent their diseases. The aim of this thesis is to be a comprehensive resource about occupational accidents and occupational diseases faced by health workers in health institutions where complex and multidisciplinary structure occupies many occupational groups, the factors causing these, legal regulations and the measures that should be taken by the health and safety units of the employees to minimize or eliminate these hazards and risks.
