The assessment of the effects of employee health promotion services on the employee health and a research in internet technology sector

Especially in recent years, the changes occurred in the working conditions, the perception of the concept of health, the life style in the urban cities have made it necessary to approach to employee health in a different way. Protecting health has replaced with promoting health and the effects of worksite conditions on employee health have become major concerns.In the research, the relationship between worksite, health and employee, employee health promotion services and the functions and concepts concerning the management of these services are discussed theoretically. Phsyical activity and nutrition are studied within the context of employee health promotion services. In the methodological part of the research, ?the effects of employee health promotion services on health? scale have been applied to the sedentary workers in the offices in information technology sector.The data obtained from the research are first analysed with the help of factor analysis. In addition, the findings of the factor analysis related to worksite health climate, managerial activities and their effects on the employee health are analysed with corelation and multiple regression analysis methods. These variables and findings regarding worksite health climate, worksite health culture and the coordination of the employee in the services are interpreted. Another finding of the research which is about the effects of the employer sponsored health insurance on the employee health are also analysed .
